A: Payments can be made by check, money order, debit, and credit card. Debit and credit cards are paid through paypal. Checks and money orders need to be made payable to: Rev. Marjorie Carpenter. Checks for the balance need to be received by me no later than 14 days before the ceremony to allow time to clear. Cash is accepted prior to the start of the ceremony.

Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes. Generally, I will travel up to 100 miles from my office in Salisbury. Under some circumstances I will travel farther, but extra charges will be incurred to cover the time and costs, including lodging if necessary, depending on the time of the ceremony. Fees for travel over 50 miles can be found on the Packages and Pricing page. Mileage is calculated using Google maps.
Q: Do you offer other services besides officiating?
A: That's a good question. I do offer some supplies, such as ring pillows, favors, and registries. I also make silk bouquets upon request. All are available by custom order. I will have them available on a sister site in the future.
Q: Can you just mail me an information packet?
A: I would be happy to. Simply fill out the information form on the Contact us page, noting that you want an information packet mailed to you and I will send it out within 2 business days.

Q: Do you perform elopements?
A: Yes, I do. I am happy to perform elopements, at either a location of your choice or at my office. Elopements performed at my office have a discounted rate of $95.00. This includes candles and a few flowers as decorations. Please note, however, that elopements consist of the bride and groom and 2 witnesses only. Bouquet rentals are $10.00.
Q: Are the ceremonies you perform legally binding in North Carolina?
A: Yes, they are. I am a legally ordained member of the clergy. I am legally authorized to perform weddings in North Carolina, as well as most other states.

Q: Where did you receive your ordination?
A: I received my ordination through the Church of Seven Planes in Cooper, Texas. I am a member of their clergy in good standing. I also have ordinations from the Church of Spiritual Humanism and the New Horizon Ministry. The last two were done to enable me to have a better understanding of the Humanistic way of life and different beliefs and traditions in order to better serve a wider range of clients.
